I Guess I'm the Family Face Painter!

Several  years ago I was hired for a house party to celebrate a first communion.  This past October, it was time to celebrate the first communion of the younger sibling, so they had me back!  These kids are seriously creative.

Ever hear of a Creeper?  I hadn't.

If you're wondering what's going on with the other side of the leprechaun's face, he wanted half Blue (the dog).  Like I said, creative!

Happy Indpendence Day, the Face Painter's Way!

I painted at my annual appearance on Wednesday at the Ridgewood Country Club's 4th of July party.  I love that so many of the kids remember me and come looking for me.  I had some fun ones this year, like my first-ever request for Yoda!

Star Wars was popular this year, and I had two more Yodas plus a couple of Darth Mauls.  Some of those had requested Darth Vader, but I talked them out of it, since I've yet to figure out how to make a fully black face defined like a Darth Vader mask.  I love trying new things, but even I have my limitations.

I also did my first pink & green ladybug, at this young lady's request.  I think it's pretty cute!

As is my first blue dragon with red eyes, as specified by my model.

And another first, a poison dart frog.  I happen to love poison dart frogs, so I was really happy to get this request.

And then some old standards, rainbow butterflies, monsters, Spideygirl, a clown, and zombies.  What's the 4th of July without zombies?

And of course, the regular 4th of July hits, flags & fireworks!

Hope you had a good day too!

Another Sort of 1st Birthday

Unlike my nephew's low key birthday, this one was an all-out bash.  I had a lot of models, too!

The two boys were brothers, and I think it was the younger one's first full face.  So cute!

The second mouse I've ever done!

And my first elephant in ages.

I love doing lop-eared bunnies.

Normally, I do sharks at the mouth so the shark's mouth is the model's mouth.  The kids love it when they can make the sharks bite.  But this little cutie had a rash on his cheeks, so I decided to change it up a bit...

My Nephew's First Birthday

The party was December 19, and I've slacked on posting about it.

My sis decided to do it low key.  Pretty much just family, in the house, with a Where the Wild Things Are theme.  It was a really great theme.  We did a cake.

And I made him a crown like Max's as his birthday hat.

And I got to face paint the cousins, though it was non-thematic painting.
